Will Zalatoris delivered great line during first PGA Tour win
Will Zalatoris finally entered the FedEx St. Jude Championship with his first PGA Tour win on Sunday, and he made it no secret that he was thrilled to silence critics.
Zalatoris defeated Sepp Straka in a three-hole playoff to open the FedExCup playoffs.
The regulation would not have had an extra hole on the 18th hole without the zalatoris to take out a 10-foot par putt.
After that plate rolled, Zalatoris turned to his caddy with a loud fist pump and shouted, "What are they going to say now?!"
It was a clear message to the opponents. Zalatoris, 25, has been in controversy at several PGA Tour events over the past two years.
He has had eight top-10 finishes this season, including a tie for sixth place at the Masters, a tie for second place at the US Open, and a loss in the PGA Championship playoffs.
We know Zalatoris pays attention to what is said about him on social media. He made this clear when he called out some fans after his heartbreaking loss at the US Open in June.
