Tom Brady opted to retire and return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, so rumors spread that superstar quarterback's marriage to Gisele Bundchen is on the rocks.
The past few months didn't quite go as planned for Tom Brady. Brady and the Books are 3-3 on the field after losing to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.
But Brady pushed back on any idea that he might bail on the season. Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Brady said, "There is no retirement in my future."
Some speculated that he would make the season but, Tom Brady said 'I love the game. I like teammates. As always I want to do a great job with this team. Therefore, no retirement in my future.'
It was unclear whether Brady simply meant he had no plans to retire during the 2022 season, or whether he was already looking ahead to 2023.
Brady announced his retirement in February, before reversing course 40 days later and returning to the Books. He is currently playing on a one-year, $15 million contract.
