The 7 most curious predictions of Elon Musk

Billionaire Elon Musk, one of the richest man in the world, has made many predictions about the future over the years.

Some of them have turned out to be extremely true, while others' deadlines have passed without any indication. Here are some key things he has to say about the future.

According to The Washington Post, Elon Musk called artificial intelligence the "greatest existential threat" and "summoning a demon" in 2014.

He claimed during an interview with Business Insider in March 2022 that artificial intelligence got it wrong, along with extremism and declining birth rates he fears most.

Musk announced in 2016 during the annual Code Conference, his belief that humanity is, in fact, living in a simulation.

Cryptocurrency is here to stay, with the South African billionaire, one of the wealthiest men alive, claiming that at this stage it is “impossible to kill cryptocurrency.”

In March 2022, bitcoin, dogecoin and ethereum surged after the Tesla founder posted on Twitter that he trusts these bitcoins rather than sell them.

It's no secret that the South African billionaire is interested in space travel. One of his most notable companies is SpaceX, which focuses on the airspace.

“My goal is not to send myself up. My goal is to open up space for humanity and become a multi-planet species,” Musk declared during the Code conference in 2021.

Not only this, the former CEO of Tesla believes that humans will set foot on Mars by 2029, exactly 60 years after Neil Armstrong stepped on the moon.
