After spending 23 seasons in the NFL, signed Tom Brady items are still worth the high-dollar price tag.
This week, PWCC auctioned off the Brady Rookie card from a 2000 Contenders Championship ticket set for $2.4 million, according to TMZ Sports.
With the sports collectibles market seeing a recent resurgence, it's no surprise that a rare rookie card has been signed.
According to the report, $2.4 million was the third highest paid for a trading card at a public auction in 2022 and the third highest for a Brady card.
The card is one of only 100 produced and received mint grade. Eighty-seven of the 100 Brady cards are graded, with only a handful receiving mint grades.
Brady's rookie card isn't the only one to bring in high dollar amounts this year.
Back in August, a 1952 Mickey Mental card sold through Heritage Auctions for a record-breaking $12.6 million.
