NASCAR world reacts to Denny Hamlin’s good deed
Denny Hamlin may not have won at Watkins Glen, but he made an impact for a NASCAR fan.
Who had too much to drink the night before Sunday's Go Bowling at The Glen.
On Sunday morning, a NASCAR fan named Kyle tweeted a photo of him with Hamlin and expressed his admiration for Denny's for being an immediately designated driver the night before.
Hamlin not only did not respond, but he told Kyle that his bag of beer was in the back of his truck.
This is Denny's awesome. He may be polarizing among fans but it is one thing that even his most passionate haters have to give him some credit for making it happen.
Unfortunately, this did not result in an immediate increase in karma for Hamlin. Denny finished 20th, one place ahead of rival Ross Chastain
Because Kyle Larson took the checkered flag. Maybe that's in the form of a championship at the end of the season.
