LeBron James extension sets up Lakers star to team up with Bronny

The Los Angeles Lakers gave LeBron James a two-year extension that would allow him to team up with his son Bronie in a few years.

On Wednesday the Lakers and James agreed to a two-year, $97.1 million contract extension according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

The deal includes a player option for 2024-25. Plus it probably has a lot to do with Bronie. LeBron James extension more likely to team up with Bronie.

Time was always going to be the biggest hurdle with the father turning 38 by the end of this year and the son ineligible to enter the league until 2024.

The player option for 2024 means James can play the next two seasons with the Lakers and then base his next move around the land of Bronie.

Brony, who plays for Sierra Canyon HS in Los Angeles, is a four-star shooting guard in the Class of 2023. He is ranked 29th nationally in the 247Sports Composite.

He must spend a year in college to qualify for the 2024 NBA Draft. At the same time the player option of James will start.

However, Bronie doesn't necessarily ensure that he leaves college after one season. There's still a lot of pieces to put together if James really wants to do this.
