Kyle Bush Announces Official Decision on His NASCAR Future

Kyle Bush announced his plans for the upcoming 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season on Tuesday morning.

Bush has been with Joe Gibbs Racing for most of his career, but his partnership is said to be coming to an end.

It is also revealed that Bush will be joining Richard Childress Racing for the 2023 season. He will drive the number 8 car for the team.

Bush said that "RCR has an impressive history in NASCAR and I am honored that Richard is counting on me and continuing to build on that legacy."

“Growing up in a family of passionate racers myself, I feel like the culture that the Childress family has created within their organization would be a perfect fit for me.

As I begin the next chapter of my career, I look forward to driving for RCR and working with everyone there to add more wins and championships to both of our resumes.

When Kyle Bush officially enters the No. 8 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, Randall Burnett will be Bush's chief of crew.

A two-time Cup Series champion, Bush has amassed more than 220 career victories in NASCAR's top-three series. Landing a driver of Busch's caliber should elevate Richard Childress Racing.
