Joe Gibbs' reaction to Kyle Bush New
The team with which Kyle Bush has worked for most of his career. announced on Tuesday that he is leaving Joe Gibbs Racing.
As disappointing as the news will be for Gibbs, he expressed nothing but good wishes and respect for Bush in a prepared statement this morning.
"Kyle has been a key part of our history and success at Joe Gibbs Racing. We are grateful for all his contributions to our organization over the years," Gibbs said.
“When you look at all that he has already accomplished, it is truly remarkable, and we know that someday we will celebrate his induction into the Hall of Fame.
We also know that he still has many more achievements ahead of him in our sport, including competing. Championship this season.
"RCR has an impressive history in NASCAR and I'm honored that Richard is counting on me and continuing to build on that legacy," Bush said Tuesday morning.
Bush, a two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, will join Richard Childress Racing in 2023. He will drive the number 8 car for them.
Bush, 37, began his Cup Series career with Hendricks Motorsports from 2003–07 and has driven for Joe Gibbs Racing since 2008.
