Ford-F150 Lightning sales reached 2,373 for the month. The model was not available last year. And, it was extremely modest compared to all the F-Series sales.

The sales of the same popular Mustang Mach-E crossover EV also increased by 115.5% to 3,120. It is part of what Ford calls the SUV segment.

There are three challenges facing Ford in the EV market right now. One is that EV engine parts have increased. Due to which Ford has increased the prices of Lightning and Mustang Mach-E.

Components for EV engines are rare throughout the industry. That means Ford will have trouble keeping up with demand for its EVs, and that could last for months.

Ford's EV presence is in its early stages. Almost every major car company in the world is in the midst of an EV line-up launch. Ford is in the game, but he has a long way to go to become the leader.
