Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has unfortunately been below his best this season, and it looks like he is past his peak.

Beloved Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was once one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. Just last year, he won his second consecutive NFL MVP.

But, unfortunately, he is now being outperformed by young star quarterbacks like Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen. And frankly, it's not even close.

Rodgers had good seasons the last two seasons, averaging eight yards per pass and 85 touchdowns while throwing for 8,414 yards and a 69.8 completion percentage.

Mahomes had a slightly lower completion percentage and nearly 1,000 yards more. Allen had the same completion percentage as Mahomes and roughly the same number of yards as Rodgers.
His completion percentage and amount of touchdowns have remained a big part, but his passing yards have steadily declined over the years.

This season, Rodgers has not recorded a single game with 300 yards.

Players tend to lose skill as they age, and unfortunately that seems to be happening to Rodgers as he has only played in the NFL since 2005 with the Packers.

Rodgers' time with the Packers may be coming to an end soon, and though it's bitter, it's essential to the team's growth.

The Packers should start considering quarterback options. While they certainly aren't the worst team in the league, they have lost a lot of steam over the years and have a lot of room for improvement.
Rodgers has been reliable for many years, but he is also losing steam and adding a new quarterback would certainly help move Green Bay in the right direction.

Rodgers isn't a bad player but he is showing many signs of slowing down and it's best to be proactive and create a backup to sign someone to replace him when the time comes.

Unfortunately, Rodgers just isn't pulling the same results as the younger stars, but his impact on the Packers franchise will always be noticeable.
