Bears Coach Has Honest Reaction To Justin Fields Performance
Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields was under tremendous pressure during Thursday night's preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks.
Speaking to the media after Thursday's game, Bears head coach Matt Eberfluss said he had seen an improvement in Fields. This is the same improvement he is seeing in the practice area.
"I see more progress in practice," Eberfluss said, via ProFootballTalk. "His footwork is getting better."
His delivery when he is feeling the pressure, how he slams into the pocket and delivers the ball, is also getting much better. He is improving every day.
"That movement does a really good job with the pass, the play-action, in the pocket, out of the pocket, and being able to deliver the ball. So we're excited about that."
Fields completed 5-in-7 pass attempts for 39 yards. He led the Bears on a drive that resulted in a field goal.
The Bears aren't expected to participate in NFC this season, but that's okay. If the fields continue to develop the right way, the franchise will eventually see some light at the end of the tunnel.
